It’s the End of the Year As We Know It

We’re just about ready to put a bow on 2012. It’s been a full and productive year for us at Developware. We’ve added new clients, increased our staff and rolled out the long-awaited QuickBooks integration module for CurrentTrack. We’ve got big plans for 2013 too including, most importantly, a major update to the system’s interface. And there are other notable enhancements on the horizon; we can’t wait to share them with you. We’re excited to make next year a landmark one for our clients and product.

Late December is a time for family and friends but also for reflection, both personally and professionally. We all have goals we want to meet — they can really pile up — but as important as our goals are, a plan is what gets us there. This year, at Developware, we’re scheduling an off-site meeting to recap where we’ve been and where we’re headed in the next year and beyond. This gives us an opportunity to reboot and all get on the same page about our vision for the future. There’s a lot to discuss including the development timeline, sales and marketing efforts, events we’d like to attend, and how to improve our project management offerings and refine our processes. We’re each coming to the meeting with questions that need answering: What can we do better? What are the problem areas in our process that are causing us the most pain? If you pose the question, please come with an answer, even if it’s just a suggestion.
When you encourage employees to participate in an open forum, you will get get some real, actionable suggestions.  I’d encourage each of you reading this blog post to take a moment to stop and reflect, plan for the future and set about meeting your goals, in your personal and professional lives.
